
Recipe
- Ingredients: 4 cups flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 packet yeast, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1 cup warm milk, 1/2 cup raisins, 1 egg, 1/4 cup melted butter. Cross: 1/2 cup flour + 5 tbsp water.
- Instructions:
- Mix dry ingredients, then add warm milk, egg, and butter. Knead until smooth.
- Fold in raisins. Let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- Shape into 12 buns and place on a baking sheet. Let rise for another 30 mins.
- Mix flour/water paste and pipe crosses on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 mins. Brush with warm apricot jam for a glossy finish.
